COLUMBUS Joseph (no address given) was remanded to prison yesterday on an illegal gun charge. He appeared before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell and pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, on December 7, at ‘Jumbie Backdam’ in Rupununi, he had a .32 ‘Taurus’ pistol in his possession without being the holder of a firearm licence.
Joseph will make his next appearance at Lethem Court, to which his case has been transferred, on January 18, 2012.
