ALBERT Waddle (no address given) pleaded not guilty to simple larceny yesterday and was put on $25,000 bail, by Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry. Particulars of the offence with which he is charged said, on November 23, he stole a water pump, valued $22,000, property of Sawkumar Mohamed.
Apart from denying the allegation, the defendant alleged that the virtual complainant chopped him on his hand.
The case was put off to November 30.
