AT ABOUT 08:20hrs on Friday, ranks of the Police Narcotics Branch arrested a Canadian citizen who was an outgoing passenger at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA).
The arrest followed the discovery of a total of 903 grammes of cocaine in pellets in his luggage.
Suspected of having ingested more of the substance, the man is currently under guard at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
