-rob family of cash, jewellery
WEST Demerara police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at about 02:20hrs yesterday at Best Village.
According to the police, three men armed with a firearm, hammer and length of metal attacked and robbed Rambharose Ramjewan, 52, and his wife and daughter at their home.
The victims were reportedly aroused from their sleep by noise in the home, and on checking were confronted by the men who had entered the building after removing some louvre window panes.
The perpetrators deprived the family of G$1M, US$2,000, one cell-phone, one laptop computer, and a quantity of jewellery before making good their escape.
