Murder accused ‘Picture Boy’ will know his fate today

THIS morning the trial judge in the Non Pariel robbery/murder trial will sum up the evidence to the jury after which he will hand over the case to them for their consideration and verdict.
The victim Chandrapaul Persaud was shot to death outside of his home at Non Pariel on the night of September 30, 2006. Apart from shooting Persaud to death, State Prosecutor, Mrs. Judith Gildharie –Mursalin, in association with Mrs. Teshana James-Lake, led evidence to show that the robbers had also stolen the victim’s motor car, which was found abandoned at Paradise.
Before shooting the husband to death, the bandits had robbed the wife of cash and jewellery valued at more than $2.5M.
Picture Boy has pleaded not guilty and is being represented by Attorney-at-law Mr. Lyndon Amsterdam.
And, tomorrow, Justice Dawn Gregory will also sum up the evidence in the Mahaicony/robbery murder trial where the victim Rambarran Singh, a heart patient is said to have received three wounds to his head which caused heart failure.
Attorney-at-Law, Mr. George Thomas has urged the jury to find that the doctor had said that he could not say with certainty that Rambarran Singh died from heart failure caused by the three traumas received on the head, since the victim had an intraction which could have led to heart failure.
