THE President, Executive Committee and Members of the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) would like to extend profound congratulations to Guyana and West Indies leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo on his achievements on being named the 2011 Emerging Player-of-the-Year by the ICC. Bishoo fully deserves this award as he has proved over and over again that he belongs at the highest level of the game and the BCB is very proud of him and it is our sincere hope that he would continue to tread on the same path that has brought him success so far.
Fame has a funny way of sometimes being short-lived but we at the BCB, his club Albion Sports Club would not allow this remarkable young cricketer’s dreams to be carried away.
He has made all of us as Berbicians very proud and we at the BCB are very proud of the small part we have played in his development and wish him the best in the future while we wish to reassure him that he has our full support as he seeks to become a legend of the game.
