Why the continued defiance of government’s effort to help?

THE Ramsay Alli/Anand Sanasie “Rebel” Board continues to defy all the best efforts to resolve our cricket problems, although Ramsay is on record as saying “that cricket comes first”. It is not surprising since these are really only empty words, meant to lull the unsuspecting Public.
Ramsay never played/cricket, was never President, Secretary, nor treasurer of any organised cricket club, association or Board. His terms on the Demerara and Guyana Boards as Marketing Manager have been colossal failures in an area that he is supposed  to be strong.
Anand Sanasie, his mentor and partner, is very much the same. He has never played cricket, and knows nothing about cricket. His service on the Board from 2003 when he entered the arena has been characterised by innumerable court appearances; from the West Demerara Board, East Bank Board, Demerara Board and now Guyana Board. He initiated ‘cricket in court” and has been able to sustain it over the years.
Little wonder that, cricket in West Demerara never progressed under his undemocratic watch (no elections held for years) and cricket in Guyana has declined appreciably. The cricketers on the West Demerara are begging for help.
How therefore could this power drunk combination take cricket anywhere?
There are indeed some decent young persons on Ally’s Board, but they lack experience and need to be guided, by knowledgeable, committed leaders.
In this instance it is the blind leading the blind.
Could this take our cricket forward? Why the continued defiance of Government’s effort to help.
There is more in the mortar than the pestle
