Taxi driver charged with using unlicensed wireless set

A TAXI driver appeared in court yesterday, charged with using an apparatus for wireless telegraphing without licence. Owen Bledman (no address given) was not required to plea to the indictable charge before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton.
Particulars of the offence said, on January 9, 2010, he used an unlicensed ‘Motorola’ handset for the purpose.
Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, had no objection and the accused was put on $60,000 bail until November 7.
