Mother charged for communicating with son in lock-ups

CHRISTINE Gaspar (no address given) appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton yesterday, on a charge of communicating with a prisoner. She pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, on August 11, at Brickdam, she communicated with Mark Gaspar, a prisoner in the Brickdam lock-ups.
Attorney-at-law Mr. Adrian Thompson, for the defendant, explained that she is the mother of the prisoner.
Police Corporal Venetta Pindar, prosecuting, did not relate any facts nor did she have any objection to bail and it was fixed at $5,500 until October 24.
