IN AN article carried in yesterday’s (July 16, 2011) edition of the Guyana Chronicle, titled ‘Sacked High Court Judge sues Gov’t for pension, gratuity & other benefits’, we inadvertently implied that Justice  Jainarayan Singh had been relieved of his duties when, in actual fact, he had retired on September 30, 2008 having reached the mandatory age of retirement for puisne judges of the High Court.
We regret the error.
