THE President of Synergy Holdings Inc is quite right to say that he understands the need for the public to be aware of their progress, as this is a project of national importance. More importantly, Mr. Motilall says in another month, the Amaila Access Road will be able to accommodate four-wheel drive vehicles, and that the delay will not affect financial closure for the larger Amaila Falls Hydroelectric Project.
Also, he mentions that he is waiting on some decisions by government regarding road thickness. It is imperative that whatever decisions are needed that they be done expeditiously, and due diligence is done on changes to original contract costs. Hopefully, the public and the Chronicle will insist on knowing the answers. Regardless, this is good news for Guyana.
