A One Mile Nursery School pupil, Akila Samuels, and her cousin, Shaka Anthony were killed yesterday at Winifred Gaskin Highway, One Mile Wismar, following an accident. Police said that they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about12:15 hrs yesterday at One Mile, Wismar, and which resulted in the death of Akila Samuels, 5 years, of One Mile Extension, Wismar, and Shaka Anthony, 12,  of the same address.
Investigations revealed that motor lorry GFF 9050 and motor car PKK 8621 were proceeding in opposite directions along the roadway when it is alleged that Shaka Anthony, who was towing Akila Samuels on a bicycle, rode out from an access road and collided with the car.
As a result of the collision, the two children fell off the bicycle into the path of the motor lorry and were run over.
They were taken to the McKenzie Hospital where Akila Samuels was pronounced dead on arrival, while Shaka Anthony was admitted in a serious condition. He died some hours later.

The two motorists are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
