MARK James (no address given) was remanded to prison on a drug trafficking charge yesterday. Before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton, he pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, on June 19, at 111 Miles, Mahdia, Potaro, he had 59 grammes of cannabis (marijuana) in his possession for the purpose.
Police Inspector Rick Nauth, prosecuting, successfully objected to bail for the defendant, and his request for the case to be transferred to Mahdia Court, was granted.
James will make an appearance in that Court on July 20.
