INTERDICTED Presidential Guard Marvin Taylor made another court appearance, before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, yesterday for the commencement of the preliminary inquiry (PI) in the two attempted murder charges against him.
Taylor is charged with attempting to kill his wife, Sharon Taylor and her sister, Michelle Richards, last January 26.
The wife was the first witness called after the proceedings were postponed for months.
Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, said another witness will be presented on June 27.
The accused is being represented by Defence Counsel Nigel Hughes, who is expected to cross-examine yesterday’s witness on the resumption.
Taylor, who is on $600,000 bail, is also accused of discharging a loaded firearm at Aubrey Smith, with intent to maim, disfigure or cause him grievous bodily harm. (Nathalene DeFreitas)
