GSL/Kares Engineering Tapeball …

Registration period extended
FOLLOWING an overwhelming response from the cricketing public, the organising committee of the much anticipated Guyana Softball League (GSL)-sanctioned Kares Engineering and Bushy Park Sawmills nationwide Ten10 tapeball tournament was forced to extend the deadline for the submission of entry forms.
According to Mr Radesh Rameshwar, Managing Director of Kares Engineering, calls and queries about the tournament and its registration, notwithstanding the 700 entries already received, have led to the decision to extend the deadline to Sunday, June 26.
The tournament has a lucrative payout to the prize-earners of over $10M in cash and prizes, where the male winners of the tournament will receive $1M and a trophy and the man-of-the-final and the man-of-the-tournament will each ride away with a spanking new scooter.
The female winners of the tournament will receive $500 000 and a trophy, while the woman-of-the-final will also ride off with a scooter.
There is a special school tournament where the winners will receive $200 000 towards the development of the school, with the player of the semifinal and final in both male and female categories receiving a laptop. The competition is set to bowl off on July 3.
