Karatekas wing out to USA

FIFTEEN members of the Japan Karate Association/World Federation Guyana winged out yesterday to attend the Annual Japan Karate Association Training Camp and tournament in the United States. Before the team’s departure, Seven Seas through its local distributors Geddes Grant made a presentation of pharmaceutical products to the karatekas.
Team manager Shankar Singh said that the Camp and Tournament will take place June 9-12 in Santa Fe, New Mexico in the USA and will attract participants from Panama, Mexico and several states in the USA with Panama hosting last year’s camp and tournament.
The delegation includes Chief Instructor Sensei Christopher Chaves, Marvin Singh, Kristalia Chaves, Marlon George, Jennifer Cyrus, Randolph Singh, Uditt Jagdeo, Dinesh Braaham, Shermon Kyte, Deoram Ramdas, Shaqueel Amin, Ganpat Sahai and Rachel Reman will serve as chaperone while Shankar Singh is the manager.
Meanwhile, Pharmaceutical Manager of Geddes Grant, June-Ann Eastman, said that her company was pleased to offer assistance to the team and wished the karatekas best wishes for a successful tour.
