CECIL Bagwandin, 27, 17-year-old Shawn Persaud and Shawn Murray, 31, were remanded to prison yesterday, on a joint drug trafficking charge.
The trio appeared before Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus at Vreed-en-Hoop Court and pleaded not guilty to being in possession of 200 grammes cannabis (marijuana) for the purpose, on April 28, at Best Village, also on West Coast Demerara.
Police Sergeant Sherwin Matthews, prosecuting, objected to the defendants being granted bail and they were refused, pending trial on June 28.
