THE body of 53-year-old Keith Molyn was yesterday afternoon fished out of a canal along Coghlan Dam, West Bank Demerara.
The details surrounding his death were unclear when this newspaper visited Molyn’s home.
The deceased lived with his nephew, Alexandro Ron Caupain, who could not say how his uncle died.
He was at work when he received a phone call that Molyn was pulled from the canal with his blue bicycle. He was taken out at approximately 15:30hs.
Caupain said he was in shock as he could not understand his uncle’s death.
Neighbours, too, said they were pondering how Molyn ended up in the trench. They described him as a “nice neighbour.”
According to them, the deceased was a grass-cutter who suffered with epilepsy.
The Chronicle managed to contact a police officer who was on the scene but was nevertheless unable to garner any details.
