Albion man caught during second ‘break-in’ of home
– remanded to prison
IMRAN Ally of Albion Front, Corentyne Berbice, yesterday confessed to two counts of break and enter and larceny committed on Sharon Appadu.
He was remanded to prison by Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo pending sentence, on April 28. The virtual complainant told the police that, on April 4, last, having secured her home at 8:30 hrs, she went out but, on returning home three hours later, observed that the lock on the eastern door was wrenched open and several articles including a cordless telephone, a bottle of Topico Orange Juice along with a quantity of DVDs’, totaling $9,560 were missing.
Four days later, her home was again broken into, and her loss included five tins of Stag beers, a large bottle of Topico Juice, seven cakes of Irish Spring soap, and a quantity of sweets among other items, totaling $4,260.
However, on the last occasion, Ally was caught leaving the house armed with the booty in a bag. He was arrested and taken to Albion Police Station where charges were instituted. (Jeune Bailey Vankeric)
