Police investigating $2M gun robbery in city

ACCOUNTS clerk Bernard Wilburg was attacked and robbed of $2M about 14:00h on Tuesday, by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun. Police investigating the robbery said it happened in Barrack Street, Kingston, Georgetown, after the victim, who is employed with Jialing Forestry Industry Ltd, had withdrawn the money from a city bank.
He was sitting in a company vehicle awaiting the driver, who had gone into a business place, when the robbers held Wilburg at gunpoint and took away a bag containing the cash and escaped on a motorcycle.
