TEENAGED left-arm fast bowler Andre Stoll achieved the rare feat of scoring a century in both innings when he stroked an unbeaten 109 for Police in Carib Beer/Friends of Cricket-sponsored two-day first division match on Sunday. The 18-year-old, known more for his pace bowling, smashed 11 fours and five sixes to add to his 101 in the first innings as the match against Malteenoes Sports Club ended in a draw at Eve Leary.
Stoll’s knock enabled Police to reach 310 for eight in their second innings.
Earlier, MSC, resuming the day on 72 for two were bowled out for 232 in reply to Police’s first innings of 308.
Stoll, yet to play first class or limited overs cricket, played two games in the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board T20 Festival last December at Guaracara Park.
At Bourda, Georgetown Cricket Club completed an innings-and-275-run victory over Transport Sports Club just before 15:00 h after they took their overnight 359 for four to 514 for nine declared.
Test batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan, unbeaten on 203 overnight, retired his innings while ex-Guyana youth opener Jeetendra Sookdeo made 64.
Transport were then dismissed for 144 and 95 to lose comprehensively.
