LOYD WILSON, 17, yesterday pleaded not guilty to a charge of robbery before Magistrate Nyasha Williams-Hatmin.
The teenager is accused of robbing Jaideo Persaud of a gold chain valued $200,000 on March 7 last.
The police alleged that he robbed Persaud at New Road, Vreed-en-Hoop, West Coast Demerara, dealing several blows to his victim.
Prosecutor Sherwin Matthews, prosecuting, objected to bail, on the grounds that the defendant is not being tried for a matter of this nature for the first time, and because of the seriousness of the matter.
Wilson was however granted bail in the sum of $200,000 and is to return to court on May 30.
