President Bharrat Jagdeo will declare open the annual event at the Sanskritik Kendra, Prashad Nagar, on Saturday afternoon.

The Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha has organised a colourful programme with heart throbbing dance items featuring kathak, interpretative, folk and modern dance forms.

Top singers will take the stage and games, food stalls and exhibits will be on display.  Admission for adults is $400 and for children its $100.

On Sunday, March 13, 2011, The Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha has country-wide Chowtal Samelan and will bring the curtain down on the colourful festival of Holi on Sunday, March 20, 2011 with members and well wishers assembling at the lawns of the Sanskritik Kendra, Ganges Street for affectionate exchanges with each other in squirting of abeer, perfume and powder.
