FREDDIE says, “I remain the only academic in the region that has classified the Guyana Government as incorporating fascist features in the exercise of power.”
Does this lonely “academic” ever wonder why he is so lonely? [Thankfully, real academics do exist in our world!]
Think of this: He says that the government is fascist and calls for a “velvet revolution”. At the same time he capitalizes on the freedom, along with other Guyanese, to comment on the coming elections and, more specifically, proposes strategies that the opposition parties should take to ensure victory. Is this happening in a fascist state?
This self-acclaimed “intellectual” ought to be thrown out of his post at the UG and any other facility of learning. If this is the calibre of our teachers, then we are certainly doomed to fascism, as fascism easily takes root in an uneducated or uninterested populace. He is certainly doing an injustice to our youth if he is lecturing to them.
Now, maybe Freddie sees us all as dunces and is making the most use of that! Of course he is an opportunist as much as he is a dreamer. Trust me, he sees himself as a Simon Bolivar, if not better. I see him as a Duvalier wannabee!
On the other hand, he should be placed within the supervision of a secure mental facility in the interest of his own safety and that of those with the misfortune of having him around. What a disgrace to a proud and progressive nation to have such a person among us!
He is abusing the freedom within a functional democracy in conjunction with the easy access to worldwide internet access in his attempt to disrupt the progress of our nation.
A disgrace to our proud nation
