POLICE have charged a man following investigations into the pre-Mashramani robbery of designer Trevor Rose. Aman Lallchan, of Lot 29 Howes Street, Charlestown, pleaded not guilty to robbing Rose, at gunpoint, of $2.6M on February 18.
Police Corporal Venetta Pindar, prosecuting, said the virtual complainant fingered the robber on an identification parade and she objected to bail for Lallchan, on the ground that he has other cases of a similar nature pending.
Rose was at a Mash Camp on Middle Street, in Georgetown, as well, when a man demanded his bag with the money and fired shots in his direction, causing the victim, in fear of his life to hand it over.
Lallchan has to be back in Court on March 21.
