THE People’s National Congress Reform extends sincere greetings to all Guyanese, more particularly, to the Muslim brothers and sisters and to the Muslim community throughout the world, on the significant occasion of Youman Nabi, the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammed (On Whom Be Peace). The Party, in a statement, says it takes particular note of the fact that the Holy Prophet Muhammed (On Whom Be Peace) has left the legacy of a religion that is universal in scope and purpose, which espouses an end to human suffering, disease and poverty. More particularly, it said this legacy is consistent with the promotion of peace and harmony that is in our country and the rest of the world.
As we reflect on the significance of this Holy Observance, the PNCR urges all Guyanese to internalize the message and lessons of the doctrines of this great religion and use them as important instruments for improving our society.
“In so doing, we can also resolve to work for the creation of conditions for racial harmony, peace and the genuine development in Guyana,” the PNCR said.
