Central Georgetown Lions hosts another medical clinic

A TEAM of medical personnel from the Ministry of Health, including several doctors, will conduct a clinic sponsored by the Lions Club of Central Georgetown.
It will be conducted at the Club’s den, at Lot 9 New Providence, East Bank Demerara next Sunday from 09:00h, said Club President, Sharon Letlow.
In a press release, she said the outreach is part of their ongoing community work.
Letlow said that based on the average attendance at similar, past clinics, at least 200 people are expected to receive medical attention, including tests for HIV, diabetes and hypertension, in addition to cancer screening, and dental and eye care.
The exercise, in which the public is invited to participate, is on the Club’s programme of events to mark its 43rd anniversary.
