KINDLY allow me space in your letter column to express my opinion concerning who my choice will be in answer to a question in Sunday Stabroek (2011-01-09) who would you vote for?
My answer is Donald Ramotar of the PPP/C, the others not ready yet. PPP/C will win whether he is nominated for president or not. Mr. Ramotar I have known to be very simple and approachable to people of the grass root. Unlike businessmen who want you to make appointments before seeing them. To be successful the businessman at most times charges exorbitantly for the goods he supplies and services he renders to the poor. So he is the VAT, ’Vampire around the throats’ of the poor.
I wonder how many lives the political/social activist has improved and assisted people? I for one know Mr. Ramotar assisted many after hearing the grievances of people he visited during his visits to the regions. The businessman knows that you cannot pay money that you do not have, only that you can afford.
In my lifetime, I have known people to make many plans, programmes but all are not successful some must or will fail.
Finally, Mr. Editor, I only hope Mr.  Ramotar will be nominated for President and I know that when he retires he will be satisfied that he did good for his country in his old age.
Once again I will vote for Ramotar of the PPP/C and not Rsmsaroop of the G.
