A trial for rape involving accused Mohan Lall is expected to begin  before justice Winston Patterson and a mixed jury at the Demerara Assizes today. The offence is said to have been committed on a 12-year old girl on March 3, 2008.

The prosecution will be conducted by State Counsel Ms. Judith Gildharie-Mursalin, in association with Miss Konyo Sandiford.
Attorney-at-law Miss Sonia Parag is expected to appear for the defence.
