Popular Linden businessman shot as robber runs off with gold chain

POPULAR Linden businessman, 50 year- old Albert ‘Bolo’ Joseph, was yesterday shot in the abdomen and rushed to the Linden Hospital Complex after a lone gunman entered his premises at 68 Sunflower Street, Wismar, and attacked him.
According to his daughter, Laruen Joseph, she and her dad were in the shop when a young man entered
and told her father to give him what money he had.
The General Hardware and Electrical Store had just re-opened for business at 15:00hrs and Bolo told the man that he had no money.
The businessman took off his gold chain and was putting his hand in his pocket to get what money he had when the robber shot him.
Ms. Joseph called a shop attendant who was outside of the building to call for a taxi and took the business man to the Linden Hospital Complex, where he was seen by doctors and other medical personnel on duty.
He was operated on and the bullet was removed.
Reports say that the robber was undisguised, with no mask or hat, and Ms. Joseph said he must be about 28 years old.
Many Linden businessmen later gathered at the shop while other well-wishers thronged the hospital complex to enquire about one of Linden’s most progressive businessmen.
