SUCH drivel as what appeared in the letter by Mr. Bisram that follows should not be printed due to inaccurate content. The subject of his letter is “Richmond Hill Casino contracts.” The planned casino is not located in Richmond Hill. No local political figures supported any rallies as none were held in relationship to the planned casino. It is total fabrication on Mr. Bisram’s part to state that any such commitment as described by him was ever made by the Senator, Assemblyperson, Councilman, or Community Board that represent the area in which Aqueduct is situated. The flea market he writes of has not been around for anywhere near to 60 years. Tutor Perini is not an owner of the planned casino nor is the famous Aqueduct racetrack closing.
Letter writers such as Mr. Bisram should be advised that disseminating false and inaccurate information does no one any service. Rather than seeking information second or third hand from Mr. Mahadeo or the Richmond Hill EDC, readers would be far better advised to seek accurate information regarding minority contracting from the project’s MWBE compliance monitor and to seek accurate information regarding local hiring preferences from government sources such as the Senator, Assemblyperson, Councilman or Community Board that represent the site where Aqueduct is located.
