ONE week after competing in the Guyana Chess Federation (GCF) national championships, chess players will go at each other this Saturday when they battle for supremacy in the RRT Enterprise sponsored a one day rapid chess tournament organized by the GCF and being held at the Keishar’s Sports Club. The tournament will be played according to the Swiss System format and consists of seven rounds with a time limit of 40 minutes per game and registration starts at 10:00h, while the first pawn will be pushed one hour later.
The tournament is open to all chess players in both the senior and junior categories with an admission fee for senior non-members being $800.00 and juniors $600.00, while members will pay $300.00 for seniors and $200.00 for juniors.
