A BRAZILIAN national was yesterday remanded to prison on a drug trafficking charge. Jonathan Da Silva (no address given) appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry and pleaded not guilty to being in possession of 146 grammes of
cannabis (marijuana) for the purpose of trafficking, at Lethem, Rupununi, last November 29.
The case was transferred to Lethem Court for March 8, 2011.
