I wish to express my condolences to the relatives, friends and well wishers of the late Winston Murray who died on Monday, November 22, 2010, at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Mr. Murray has certainly made his contribution to the development of Guyana both as an administrator and as a politician.
Whatever else can be said about him, there is one thing that was never in doubt and that was his loyalty and commitment to the growth and development of his country. Guyana is definitely poorer for his passing.
It is unfortunate that Mr. Murray had to depart at a time when he was aspiring for higher political office. But as the saying goes: ‘Man proposes; God disposes.’
May his soul rest in peace!
