RHTGG and Albion clash in final today  
THE Albion Community Centre ground will come alive today when arch rivals Albion Community Centre Cricket Club and Rose Hall Town Gizmos and Gadgets (RHTGG) clash in the final of the 2010 Berbice Cricket Board (BCB)-organised Tenelec Inc. 50 overs tournament.
This final is expected to be of the highest standard, since eight senior national players are involved, A huge crowd is expected as the two teams always have heated rivalry. It is always difficult to defeat Albion at home and they will have in their side at least four national players, two of them with Test experience.
They boast a powerful batting lineup that includes Sewnarine Chattergoon, Narsingh Deonarine, Jonathan Foo, Manoj Pooranauth, Ramnarine Chattergoon and Veerasammy Permaul.
Medium pacer Doodnauth Lallbeharry would share the new ball with off-spinner Ramnarine Chattergoon and they would receive support from left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul, off-spinners Orvin Mangru, Harrinarine Chattergoon, Deonarine and leg-spinner Sewnarine Chattergoon.
RHTGG, who recently won the Busta Champion of Champions title, will be led by national all-rounder Esaun Crandon, who would be supported with the bat by fellow nationals Assad Fudadin, Royston Crandon and Delbert Hicks.
Former national Under-19 player Renwick Batson, Jason Sinclair, Eon Hooper, Dominic Rickie and Khemraj Mahadeo are all capable of scoring heavily to support the national players.
The new ball would be in the capable hands of pacers Esaun Crandon and Batson while spinners Ravi Narine, Troy Mathieson, Eon Hooper, Royston Crandon, Shawn Perreira and Khemraj Mahadeo are expected to enjoy the spin-friendly Albion pitch.
The umpires for the match are Clement Brusch and Zahier Moakan, with Roshan Moakan as the standby. The winning team will carry home $100 000 while the runners-up would receive $60 000 in the encounter which gets under way at 09:30 h.
