Arrest warrant issued for wife charged second time

Farouk Razack murder…
ACTING Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry on Wednesday issued an arrest warrant for former beauty queen, Carolan Lynch, who is accused of murdering her husband, Swiss House Cambio boss Farouk Razack.
It happened after the case was called for the fourth time and the magistrate was told, by the investigating officer, that the accused was properly warned to attend Court.

Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, said, despite the warning, Lynch failed to show and he requested the warrant, so that the prosecution can proceed.
The Prosecutor asked for another date and was given December 1.
On the three previous occasions, the Prosecutor had admitted that the accused was not aware she had to be in Court, having not been formally informed and adjournments were granted.
Lynch was first charged with the capital offence in May 2007 but was freed the following year after then Magistrate Gordon Gilhuys ruled that a prima facie case had not been made out against her.
The Police have now charged her a second time.
Razack was found dead on the floor of their Eping Avenue, Bel Air Park, Georgetown home, bleeding through his nose and mouth and his hands at his neck.
An autopsy established that he had been strangled.
