Republic Bank awards account holders on CSEC results
REPUBLIC Bank (Guyana) Limited, on Tuesday, awarded six students for their outstanding performance at the 2010 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations, in a continuing tradition of honouring the academic successes of its ‘Right Start’ account holders.
The awardees, Bibi Safia Khan, Krysta Amy Yan, Yonella Scarville, Sarah Khemraj, Sursattie Singh and Mikhil Steven Cox were honoured at the bank’s headquarters building, Promenade Court, in New Market Street, Georgetown.

Manager, Marketing and Communications, Ms. Michelle Johnson commended them on the results which earned them the awards and said that their being recognised bore testimony to the fact that they were of the ‘right start’, as the bank viewed their accomplishment as a stepping stone to bigger and better things in the years ahead.
She told them they had become role models and their success served as a source of inspiration to all Right Start account holders and, by extension, all of Guyana’s youth.
Johnson also congratulated their parents, praising their evident commitment to their children’s lives, goals, successes and support towards their financial goals.
Present at the function also was Managers’ Assistant in the Training and Development Centre, Ms. Jannis London, who did the welcome and Operational Risk Officer, Mr. Michael Ram, who made the closing remarks.
