Who will the lucky lass be?
COME November 6, nine talented teenagers will faceoff at the National Cultural Centre for the title of Miss Guyana Talented Teen 2010, and the chance to represent her country at the Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant. Showtime is 20:00 hrs. Tickets cost $1000 and $800 and are available at the NCC, Simpli Royal Day Spa or any delegate. Featured below are the nine hopefuls. Celestine Bentham is a seventeen-year-old with 10 passes at CXC. She is very involved in church life, and holds the positions of youth leader and head accountant for her youth group. She is also a member of the readers club within her parish. She likes to dance, and practises yoga.
Nadine Bristol is also 17, and lists among her hobbies singing and dancing. She holds the vice-presidency of the Christ Church Interact Club, and attained six subjects at CXC this year.
Tiffany Shortt is an 18-year-old with eight passes at CXC, who is currently reading for a degree in social work at the University of Guyana. Her hobbies are travelling, modeling and interacting with other personalities. She is concerned about teenaged abuse.
Christina Paulette Benjamin is a 17-year-old student of the University of Guyana reading for a degree in communications. She loves to dance, decorate cakes, and knit. Shonuda Sankar is a 16-year-old Central High School student who feels that dancing brings out the best in her. Her other interests include drama and modeling. Her ambition is to become a doctor. She is a member of the Guyana Scouts Association.
Rashanna Peters is a 15-year-old student of St. Rose’s High School. Her talents are designing, drama and dance. She also likes reading. Rashanna started sketching clothing in primary school, and will probably go into designing as a careerKinesha Richards With six passes at CXC, 19-year-old Kinesha Richards is studying Cosmetology with the intention of launching her own salon. Among her hobbies are reading and listening to music. She also likes writing poetry.
Tiffany Alexis Ageda is a seventeen-year old former student of Central High School with eight passes at CXC to her credit. Her hobbies are swimming, acting, dancing, playing video games and singing.
Crystal Vieira, a resident of Foulis on the East Coast, is a student of Annandale Secondary School preparing her SBAs now for the next CXC sitting. Her hobbies include singing, making friends, and reading. She also loves life’s challenges because of the rewards they offer, which allow her to grow.
