The problem of traffic congestion at the Kitty/Campbellville and Sophia bus parks outside Demico House on Croal Street in downtown Georgetown, is likely to be solved ‘once and for all’ with new systems being put in place by the Police Traffic Department, working in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and Hydraulics.

New lanes were yesterday painted by the entities at the cark park, with two being assigned to the route Number 40 (Kitty/Campbellville) buses and two for Sophia. Legibly painted white and yellow, the signs can in no way go unnoticed, and the Traffic Department has warned that operators of any bus found in the wrong will be prosecuted. Likewise, a clear warning is being sounded for motor cars in that vicinity to keep off, since the parking facility is off limits to them.
