October is a blessed month

IT is so pleasant to see that the crisp and brisk October autumn season is here again when the leaves fall as they change colours from green to orange and red. October is a remarkably nice month since the 2nd was our World Peace Advocate Birth Anniversary Mahatma Gandhi and mine is coming up as well but I don’t feel like celebrating since my birthday always comes around the time I have to write mid-semester exams at UG. Many prominent figures around the world were October born babies and they boast the sign of the scale and weight saying they have balance of life and everything that surrounds them. I truly believe that October is a great month since in Canada it is well observed as the month of harvesting and giving thanks to the lord for providing all that he could for us. Thanks giving they call it and it is observed nationwide.
October is a splendid month for anyone internationally and even here in Guyana to take a day in this month and make a grand dinner feast of fruits, vegetables, rice, stuffed turkey, salads and sauces and invite your family and friends to a grand celebration of thanking this earth for blessing you with the abundance you harvested, with the bountiful meal you are providing today and about to consume and share with others and most of all thanking god, our lord, our savior, Jesus Christ for doing all of this for you, for he would never see you starve but provide a plate of food for you in these hard times of survival since many around the world are less fortunate. When people see they had a good rice crop, vegetable or fruits bearing especially in Guyana, they should thank the good Lord for he is in control of everything. If he wants he can make a natural disaster happen if the people in that country stop praying, turn their backs on God, and get involved in unfaithful, unsanctioned and unlawful acts and also he can protect us from future flooding if we continue to believe, pray and lead a clean life. You have to continue to thank God for every little thing because if you become ungrateful and ignore God he will then ignore you too because he sees that you lost faith and feel like you have everything.
October is a blessing to be Agriculture Month internationally and is observed in Guyana as well. This is a time when rice, sugar, fruits and vegetable crop farmers would start sowing their seeds and reaping their abundance of achievement. It is a beautiful time of year where the weather is mild and people get busy to stay focused on the produce they can provide for the public to earn a living from and also provide nutrition for everyone’s well being.
I know that everyone is faced with downfalls in life like when there is a flood or a drought and they lose their crops or none cannot grow or bear because of the climate change of hot ongoing weather conditions. We cannot do anything much about climate change because it is an international ongoing issue that happens naturally. I believe we are in a time that we are being tested by God to continue to do good in order to survive a fruitful life. I believe this may be hard for some but for true God believers and God’s children we believe that He is in control of everything even climate change but he doesn’t want to see disasters and corruption happen. It’s the human forces that are supposed to protect and conserve their lands with sea defences, sea dams, cleaning and clearing blocked drainages, keeping the rainforest intact and also the main objective is to grow more food for the population and foreign markets to survive. I would like to wish everyone including the Minister of Agriculture and the President a blessed Agriculture Month.
