TAXI driver Garland Nurse (no address given) was yesterday put on $40,000 bail when he appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry on a break and enter and larceny charge.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the burglary offence, particulars of which said, on September 27, he broke and entered the dwelling house of Karran Deodat and stole female pants and tools worth a total of $50,000.
Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, said Nurse was seen breaking into the virtual complainant’s house by neighbours and he was apprehended after they raised an alarm.
The case will be called, again, on October 26.
