Some foreigners actually does drive just to see de animals. Fuh dem, it is a cheap safari! De animals is a serious traffic hazard. Everyday people complaining. De owners does just loose de animals fuh stray. Long ago owners had to brand dem cows, sheep, horses and donkeys. Even pigs and turkeys had brand.

De police use to give de brand meking it easy to find de owner when de animal mek a accident. Now things different. People no longer branding. Branding is like a thing o’ de past like a committed West Indies cricket team. Yet people gat even more animals now. Ah ask a man who own some donkey, that with all dem no-brand donkey walking around, if it easy just to tie one and carry it home. He seh no. He seh even though all de donkeys look de same, people know which is dem own.

He seh de owners very “generous” with people who thief dem donkey. De generosity is through a stick. He seh if a gat doubt a should try thiefing one. Knowing how donkey like fuh kick, ah seh I ain’t doubt he. I was puzzled how people know which donkey is which? De man carry me to another man who look like he gat a “donkey farm”. If yuh see donkey! Donkey in pair fuh everyday o’ de year! De “donkey farm” man ain’t want give out he secret, but he seh that not every donkey that look like a donkey is a donkey.

He seh if people can know de difference then it easy fuh separate donkey from donkey. Bluetoothers practising fuh identify donkey that don’t look like a donkey. Since Uncle Bharrat visit Buxton some people writing in de Waterfalls paper bad-talking de visit. De bad-talkers prefer no development in Buxton. Yet dem claim to be friends of Buxtonians! Bob Marley did seh “yuh best friend is yuh worse enemy”. Ah now know how to identify a donkey that don’t look like a donkey; just look fuh de naysayers in de Waterfalls paper! Hmmm!
