Swann charged with drink driving

ENGLAND bowler Graeme Swann has been charged with drink driving, police have confirmed.
The Nottinghamshire spinner was stopped by police in West Bridgford, Nottingham, on April 2 and police have now confirmed that he was charged last month.
“Graeme Swann of West Bridgford was charged on June 8 2010 with driving a motor vehicle when (his) alcohol level was above the limit,” a police spokeswoman said.
The 31-year-old is expected to appear in court in Nottingham on August 16.
Swann was named Cricketer-of-the-Year by the England and Wales Cricket Board in May.
England begin a four-Test series against Pakistan on July 29 and follow that with two Twenty20 matches and a five-match one-day international series. (Eurosport)
