Head of the Presidential Secretariat and Cabinet Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon said yesterday that the next Cabinet outreach will be to the mining town of Linden on Friday July 9. According to the HPS, the last cabinet outreach to Region 10, during last May, was concentrated on the riverine areas of the region in the upper Demerara and upper Berbice rivers.
He said that the visit on July 9 will be centred on the township of Linden where there will be a meeting with residents after the outreach by the members of the Cabinet.
On the last visit, President Bharrat Jagdeo outlined a number of areas on which the Government was focusing and which could be of benefit to the people of Linden. He said that the Government’s fibre-optic cable is one example of the many investments that the people of Linden and Region 10 could benefit from.
