… more interaction between elected officials and citizens
Government Ministers, led by President Bharrat Jagdeo, will again go into communities to meet with residents and attend to their concerns. Today, the third Cabinet Outreach for the year will be conducted in Region 3 (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara).
From 13:00 hrs, teams of ministers will visit assigned communities , from Tuschen to Lookout, conducting meetings along the West Coast, West Bank Demerara and East Bank Essequibo. President Jagdeo will meet with residents at the head of the Tuschen New Housing Scheme at 17:00 hrs.
On January 12, residents across Region 6, from New Amsterdam to Crabwood Creek, were visited by the chief officials of all government ministries, as well as technical and support staff of the Guyana Water Incorporated , the Ministries of Agriculture, and Human Services and Social Security, and officers of the Guyana Police Force Traffic Division.
The process was undertaken again on May 22, in Region 10, when President Jagdeo led ministers into the nine wards of Linden and hinterland communities, and Amerindian reservations, including Hururu, Great Falls and Rockstone, among others.
The Cabinet Outreach process is one that finds its genesis in Government’s commitment to facilitate an environment nationwide where all Guyanese; elected officials, teachers, parents and the community, work together to ensure that every child can be the best Guyanese that he or she can be.
