A GUARD attached to RK’s Security Service has been charged with stealing from his employer.
Terrence James, 52, of Lot 16 Sancho Street, Golden Grove, East Coast Demerara, appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson yesterday and pleaded not guilty to simple larceny.
Particulars of the offence said, last April 27, the defendant stole a quantity of wood, valued $130,000, property of Roshan Khan.
The defendant told the Court that he gave away some old wood to a man driving a truck belonging to Khan.
Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, said, when James was apprehended, he admitted that he sold the wood for $1,500.
James was put on $25,000 bail until June 3.
