Manager of Food for the Poor (Guyana) project, Mr. Andrew Benjamin said the scheme will be called ‘Prince Vi-Mainstay/Whyaka’.
According to him, the buildings will be gifted to poor families in Mainstay, Lima Sands and Tapakuma.
Project Manager for Food for the Poor (U.S. and Guyana), Mr. Liony Batista said the venture will see one of the fastest built villages in Guyana.
Impressed with the way the beneficiaries are working to clear and prepare the land, he said the location is the third such being developed by the tripartite partnership in Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam).
