Georgetown swamp Bartica 7-0

A SECOND-HALF hat-trick from the boot of Jermain Sutton and a double each from King Archer and Randolph Wagner, enabled Georgetown to swamp Bartica when play in the Guyana Football Federation’s (GFF) Inter-Association Under-17 Football tournament continued on Sunday. Playing at the Georgetown Football Club ground, Archer opened the flood gates in the 7th minute, and 30 minutes later Wagner made it 2-0 then followed up with his second goal four minutes later to give his team a 3-0 lead at lemon time.
Archer then completed his double 22 minutes into the second session.
Sutton then opened his account in the 69th minute then followed up with his other two goals in the 83rd and 85th minutes.
Meanwhile, in the GFF’s inter-association women’s tournament, Georgetown easily disposed of East Demerara by a 7-0 margin on Sunday at the Enmore Community Centre ground.
Collette Hope recorded a hat-trick in the 64th, 66th and 80th minutes while Velair Hunter supported with a double in the 71st and 77th minutes.
There was one goal each from Shenne Daniels (10th) and Andra Lashley (27th.).
Both women’s and men’s tournaments will continue this weekend.
