THE Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce has published an  Easter calendar of events across the country.
It includes:
**  Kennard Memorial Horse Race Meeting at Kennard Memorial Turf
Club, Bush Lot, Corentyne, Berbice, on March 28; ** Motor racing at South Dakota Circuit, Timehri, hosted by Guyana
Motor Racing and Sports Club, also on March 28;
**  Pakaraima Mountain Safari deemed an ‘adventure of a lifetime’, from
March 27 to April 4;
** Rupununi Wildlife Festival at Annai from April 2 to 5;
** Bartica Regatta on Bartica Beach from April 3 to 5;
**  Rupununi Rodeo at Triple ‘R’ Ground, Lethem, from
April 3 to 5;
**  Horse racing at Port Mourant Turf Club on April 4 and
**  Easter Holiday Kite flying countrywide and Kite Flying Competition at
Number 63 Beach, Corentyne, on April 5.
Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Mr. Manniram Prashad had previously said the listing has been circulated to all Guyana Embassies overseas and posted on the Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA) website to attract international visitors, as well.
He said the holidays programme, starting from March 28, includes a weekend when Guyanese from all walks of life will be converging on different places in Guyana.
