Pork seller, fisherman in conflict

A pork seller of Westbury, Essequibo Coast, had to run for his life last Thursday afternoon after he was attacked by a fisherman of Jibb Village.
Reports said the problem started after an agreement between the two men for the sale of a cart fell through.

The pork seller, Darren Benn, had gone to meet with the fisherman, known as ‘Gregory’, to iron out the problem, but a serious argument ensued and the fisherman who seemed to be under the influence of alcohol ran home for his cutlass and rode on his bicycle behind the pork seller who was also riding his bicycle.
Reports said both men ended up at a pastor’s home who had to intervene and make peace.
However, Benn reported the matter to Anna Regina Police Station.
